Scabious

Scabious, the prettiest frilly flower head sitting on top of a long slender stem. I always think of a (miniature) wide brimmed hats when I see them. I'm lucky enough to live by a patch of land where they grow wild in the summer. It's always a magical moment when I go and watch them swaying in the breeze.

Made completely by hand using up-cycled fabric. Cut, shaped and hand sewn with tiny stitches. Tiny thread details cover the centre top. Attached to a fine wire stem.

Flower head spans approximately 3.5cm
Total stem length 23cm

Once you have decided on where and how you want to display your flower. If necessary, you can cut the stem shorter with basic wire cutters, or simply bend it to your desired length.
