Muscari
Muscari or Grape Hyacinth, a welcome sight in our early spring gardens. I do love them, and their understated nature. When they go to seed, I can hardly believe it's the same plant! This tiny bubble of colour stretches and stretches into a long blonde stem, carrying round translucent pods, holding their most important seeds. Beautiful.
Each flower is made by hand, by adding and repeating lots and lots of tiny silk thread stitches. And, attached to a fine wire stem.
Flower head spans approximately 1cm
Total length approximately 16cm
Once you have decided on where and how you want to display your muscari. If necessary, you can cut the stem shorter with basic wire cutters, or simply bend it to your desired length.
