Buttercup

Do you like butter? This buttercup actually glows under your chin like a real one. Well, it does if you like butter! A few years ago my lawn was covered in buttercups, it couldn't have looked more beautiful.

Made completely by hand using up-cycled vintage fabric. Carefully cut petals (trying not lose a millimetre of this precious timeworn fabric) and tiny thread stamen detail. I love the 'scar' on this one. A tiny puncture showing signs of the vintage fabrics previous life. I like to imagine it's a real buttercup and an insect has had a cheeky nibble.

Total length approximately 15cm

Once you have decided on where and how you want to display your buttercup. If necessary, you can cut the stem shorter with basic wire cutters, or simply bend it to your desired length.
